Shahjalal Islami Bank holds 17th AGM

The 17^th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited was held on Sunday at RAOWA Convention Centre in Dhaka.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bank Mr. Akkas Uddin Mollah presided over the meeting.

The meeting approved 10 per cent stock dividend for the shareholders for the year of 2017 and the Directors Reported and audited Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss Account for the year ended on 31 December 2017.

Chairman of the Bank Mr. Akkas Uddin Mollah, Managing Director Mr. Farman R Chowdhury and the shareholders delivered their speech.

Among others the Vice-Chairmen of the Board Mr. Mohammed Golam Quddus (Rep. of Anwer Khan Modern Hospital Ltd.) and Khandaker Shakib Ahmed, Directors Dr. Anwer Hossain Khan, Mr. Md. Sanaullah Shahid, Mr. Shamsuddin Khan, Mr. Md. Abdul Barek, Mr. Abdul Halim, Mr. Mohiuddin Ahmed, Engineer Md. Towhidur Rahman, Mr. A. K. Azad, Mr. Fakir Akhtaruzzaman, Mr. Khorshed Alam Khan, Mr. Md. Moshiur Rahman Chamak, Mrs. Tahera Faruque, Independent Director Mr. Mosharraf Hossain Chowdhury and Mrs. Farida Parvin Nuru, the Member of Shariah Council of the Bank Mufti Shahed Rahmani, the representative of external auditor of the Bank Mr. Hasibur Rahman, FCA and legal advisor Barrister Khan Mohammad Shamim Aziz, Additional Managing Director Mr. M. Shahidul Islam, Deputy Managing Directors of the Bank and shareholders were present in the meeting.
