JU Celebrate International Women’s Day

International Women's Day- 2018 was observed at Jahangirnagar University (JU) campus here today in a befitting manner with a call to press for progress.

Marking the day, a colorful rally was brought out from the Business faculty premises led by JU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr.  Farzana Islam and parading the main streets of the campus it was terminated at seminar room of Jahir Raihan auditorium following a discussion session on the campus.

Here JU VC Professor Farzana Islam commended to establish equality between men and women ensuring equal participation in all sector. She also urged to established a beautiful world men and women must work together. Urging to defend the women from violence against them.s

JU Treasurer Professor Sheikh Md. Monzurul Haque, Director of Students Welfare and Counseling Center Professor Dr. Rasheda Akter addressed the function among others.

Later, a cultural function was held at Jahir Raihan auditorium on the campus.
