BKB chairman gets 3 year extension

Mr. Mohammad Ismail; Chairman of the Bangladesh Krishi Bank awarded 3 years extension from the government due to his satisfactory performance.

Earlier in 2014, Mohammad Ismail joined Bangladesh Krishi Bank as Chairman.

He served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (BADC) and chief controller of Imports & Exports.

Mr. Ismail was also Deputy Commissioner (DC) in Bangladesh and district officer in East Timor under the UN. Mr. Ismail was a Bureaucrat who went on voluntary retirement.

Prior to joining the BKB, Mr. Ismail was an additional secretary of the government. He also served government, semi-government and local bodies in various capacities.

He has been Chairman and Director of Bangladesh Krishi Bank (BKB) since December 2014.

Mohammad Ismail was born in village Nizhalua of Rajapur upazila of Jhalokati district.
