FT ONLINE

The sale of advance bus tickets on long routes for the upcoming holy Eid-Ul-Azha started from today (Tuesday).

This decision was taken on Monday by the Bus Owners’ Association.

The sale of advance bus tickets was earlier supposed to begin on Sunday, but later it was postponed as plying of buses on long routes remained suspended.

When contacted, President of `Bangladesh Bus Truck Owners’ Association’ Faruk Talukder said, “The sale of advance bus tickets was earlier supposed to begin on Sunday, even some bus operators started selling tickets. But, later the sale of bus tickets on long routes was suspended under the present circumstances of the country. Now the advance bus tickets will be on sale from Tuesday”.

General Manager of Hanif Paribahan said that their bus tickets will be on sale from this morning at 6:00 am in front of their respective bus counters ahead of the Holy Eid-ul-Azha.

Bangladesh Bus Truck Owners’ Association Vice President and Shymoli Paribahan Managing Director Ramesh Chandra Ghosh said that their advance bus tickets for the home-bound passengers will start from Tuesday for the journey date from August 16 to August 21.

However, the dates for selling return tickets will be informed later.
