77.77 pc pass SSC, equivalent exams

The results of this year's Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent examinations were published across the country on Sunday showing 77.77 percent pass rate which was 80.35 percent in last year.

Among the successful students 110,629 achieved highest GPA 5 under all education boards.

Minister Nurul Islam Nahid handed over the results to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Gonobhaban around 10 am.

This year, a total of 15,74,104 students out of 20,26,574 came out successful in the SSC and its equivalent examinations, Nahid said.

The pass rate has, however, declined to 77.77 percent from the previous year's 80.35 percent.

The results will be made available at 2:00pm all over the country. The students can get the results from their respective school or it will also be available on www.educationboardresults.gov.bd.

A total of 20.31 lakh students from 28,551 educational institutions under 10 educational boards appeared in this year's SSC and equivalent examinations.

The SSC and its equivalent examinations began across the country on February 1 and ended on February 26 while the practical exams continued until March 4.
