TCB to resumes truck sale of essential items tomorrow


The state-run Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) will resume its truck sale on Tuesday to reach essential items to low income group people at a subsidized price and also to keep the price of essentials stable.

Earlier on Sunday, TCB in a press briefing said that it will begin sale from Monday morning.

They said the August sales activities will start from Monday across the country including Dhaka city with the aim of delivering TCB's products (oil, sugar, lentil and onion) to 10 million low-income families at subsidized prices.

Each consumer will be able to buy sugar at Tk55, oil at Tk110, lentil at Tk65 and onion at Tk20.

The sales activities are being conducted from the dealer's shop or designated permanent establishment in the city corporation, district and upazila as per the scheduled dates and times.
