REHAB seeks govt support to resolve housing sector’s problems


The Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB) have sought cooperation of President Mohammed Shahabuddin to resolve various problems in the housing sector.

A delegation led by President of REHAB and also Managing Director of Japan Garden City, Md Wahiduzzaman, met with the president on Sunday, according to a press release.

They also invited the President Shahabuddin to the REHAB Fair-2024 to be held next December as the chief guest.

Former Member of Parliament Lion M A Awal, REHAB Senior Vice President Liakat Ali Bhuiyan, Vice President Mohammad Akhtar Biswas, and Vice President Engineer Abdul Latif were present in the meeting.

During the meeting, they informed President Shahabuddin about the activities of REHAB, their contribution to the housing sector, and their various problems.

Besides, the delegation sought the government’s cooperation in solving various problems in this sector.

Speaking there, Shahabuddin said that housing is one of the basic needs of people.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is implementing various programmes including shelters to ensure that no one is homeless in Bangladesh, he said.

Mentioning the role of REHAB in the development of the housing sector, he said REHAB members should be diligent to ensure that buyers do not suffer any kind of harassment while purchasing plots or flats.
