Gold prices rise again
Bangladesh Jewellers Association (Bajus) has announced an increase in the price of gold in the country's market again after two days from Monday.
The new price has been fixed by increasing the maximum to Tk 1,932 per bhori. As a result, the price of 22-carat gold will be Tk 1 lakh 40 thousand 271 per bhori.
The decision was shared in a statement signed by Masudur Rahman, Chairman of the Standing Committee on Pricing and Monitoring of Bajus, on Wednesday.
The price of raw gold in the local market has decreased. Considering the overall market conditions, new gold prices have been set. These revised prices will take effect from Thursday.
Under the new pricing, 22-carat gold will now cost Tk 140,271 per bhori, while 21-carat gold will be priced at Tk 133,903 per bhori.
For 18-carat gold, the price has been set at Tk 114,774 per bhori, and gold made using traditional methods will cost Tk 94,257 per bhori.
Although gold prices have increased, silver prices remain unchanged. The price of 22-carat silver is Tk 2,578 per bhori, 21-carat silver is Tk 2,449 per bhori, 18-carat silver is priced at Tk 2,111 per bhori, and traditional method silver remains at Tk 1,586 per bhori.
