BIHA members meet Finance Minister

Bangladesh International Hotel Association (BIHA) members held a meeting with Finance Minister Mr. AHM Mustsafa Kamal, MP on Monday at his office and discussed various matters relating to the hospitality and tourism industry of the country for facilities which are enjoying by the neighboring countries.

These are cash incentive for earning foreign currency like other industries of the country, reduction of duty on liquor like our neighboring countries, reduction of Supplementary Duty and VAT for smooth running and flourishing of hospitality and tourism in line with that of the neighboring countries.[

The team apprised the Minister that if duty & taxes are reduced similarly as requested above to that of our neighboring countries will help increase the arrival of foreign tourists, increase foreign currency earning and promote hospitality and tourism in the country

The Finance Minister heard them in detail and assured them to help them what is possible on his part.
