Biman suspends Manchester flights for over 2 months to prioritise Hajj flights

Biman Bangladesh Airlines has suspended its flights on the Dhaka-Sylhet-Manchester route from 1 May to 10 July to prioritise serving Hajj pilgrims.

The state-owned airline announced in a notice on Wednesday that flights to and from Manchester will be temporarily suspended to accommodate Hajj-2025 passengers, given the shortage of aircraft.

The flights on the Manchester route will resume on 11 July, operating regularly twice a week, according to the notice.

Those who have already reserved tickets for Manchester flights during the suspension period will be refunded or allowed to change their travel schedules at no extra charge, the notice added.

Additionally, passengers will have the option to change their route to London instead of Manchester without incurring any charges, the airline stated.

Biman Bangladesh Airlines adjusts its flight schedules and aircraft allocation on various routes every year to accommodate the demand for Hajj flights as a priority, according to the notice.
