Bangavax gets approval for human trials

The corona vaccine Bangavax made by the local company Globe Biotech has received approval for the first stage of trial in human body.

The trial will start in BSMMU with 60 people, said Bangavax clinical trial research team Professor Dr. Mamun Al Mahtab.

Volunteers aged 18-55 years will be placed in one group and those aged 55 and above in another group for the trial.

The Directorate General of Drug Administration has also decided to increase the prices of 53 essential medicines in the country.

Bangavax, also known as Bancovid, is a COVID-19 vaccine candidate developed by a Bangladeshi pharmaceutical company Globe Biotech Limited.
