USA issues travel alert for Bangladesh

The United States has issued travel alert for Bangladesh due to the ongoing Coronavirus situation.

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on Monday (July 25) added six countries, including Bangladesh, to its 'high risk' list for travel.

US media house CNN has published this information in a report.

The six countries added to the CDC's 'high risk' travel list are Bangladesh, Bosnia, Herzegovina, Poland, Fiji, El Salvador and Honduras.

CDC has divided countries into three categories based on the risk of corona infection. Among them, Level-3 is considered as high risk, Level-2 is considered as medium risk and Level-1 is in low risk category. Those six countries including Bangladesh are in Level-3.

CDC has placed those countries in the Level-3 category where more than 100 people out of every 100,000 have been detected with the virus in the last 28 days.

There are more than 120 countries on CDC's list in the Level-3 category.
