79 centres selected for inoculation, health checkup for Hajj pilgrims


Hajj pilgrims can undergo health checkup and inoculation against meningitis and influenza at 79 centres across the country.

Ministry of Religious Affairs published a list of centres in this regard on Saturday.

If moon is sighted, the Holly Hajj will be held on June 27. As per the Hajj agreement, a total of 1,27,198 pilgrims will perform Hajj this year.

Hajj registration has already been completed in the meantime.

However, flight for Hajj will begin from May 21. Districts Civil Surgeon Offices excepting Dhaka will be centres for inoculation and health checkup of the pilgrims.

In Dhaka, health checkup and vaccination will be available in  Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), Sir Salimullah Medical College & Mitford Hospital, Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital, Kurmitola General Hospital, Fulbaria Government Employee's Hospital , Rajarbagh Central Police Hospital. Bangladesh Secretariat Clinic, Dhaka Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Shaheed Taj Uddin Ahmad Medical College, Gazipu and Shaheed Ahsan Ullah Master General Hospital.

In addition, pilgrims can receive checkup and vaccination at Chattogram Medical College Hospital, Bogura 250 bed Mohammad Ali District Hospital and Dinajpur 250 bed General Hospital.
