DSCC lodges complaint against DWASA contractor

Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has filed a complaint against an engineer who works for System Engineering Limited, a contract organisation of the Dhaka Water Supply and Sewerage Authority (DWASA), for forging their permission letter.

Md Mahbabur Rahman, work assistant of the DSCC, lodged the complaint against an engineer appointed as a contractor of the DWASA named Syed Abu Zafar with Lalbagh Police Station.

In the statement of the complaint, DSCC said that the DWASA contractor forged a DSCC road cutting permission letter and dug a road in front of Ibn Sina Hospital under Lalbagh Police Station.

DWASA Deputy Managing Director (Operation and Maintenance) A K M Shahid Uddin said on Monday night that he was not aware of the matter and that if the contractor did that wrong, he must face stern punishment.

He said, “Just now, I have got the news from the television report but have yet to contact our executive engineer concerned. We can say what happened after contacting him. But there is no reason to forge documents. We sometimes cut roads in case of any emergency for leakage to save water waste.”
