DSCSC Graduation CeremonyArmy chief urges graduates to apply wisdom for advancement of military, nation


Congratulating the fresh graduates of the Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) for successfully completing their courses, Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman advised them to apply their newly acquired wisdom, fortitude, and zeal for the advancement of the armed forces and the nation as a whole.

The Graduation Ceremony of DSCSC Course 2024 was held on 28 November (Thursday) at DSCSC Auditorium, Mirpur Cantonment, Dhaka.

Additionally, the Army Chief thanked Commandant DSCSC for his outstanding leadership in steering the DSCSC 2024 through its successful completion.

DSCSC is committed to enhancing the strategic and tactical acumen of the military leaders, and fostering international collaboration, reads a press release of ISPR.

Earlier, the Commandant, DSCSC, Maj Gen Chowdhury Mohammad Azizul Haque Hazary delivered his welcome address.

He expressed his profound gratitude to the respected Chief of Army Staff for his gracious presence, and continued assistance for the advancement of the College and professional development of the officers of the Armed Forces of Bangladesh.

A total of 267 officers have completed the DSCSC 2024 course this year, comprising 141 officers from the Bangladesh Army, 40 from the Bangladesh Navy, 26 from the Bangladesh Air Force, 3 from the Bangladesh Police, and 57 overseas course participants from 25 friendly nations, namely China, Germany, India, Indonesia, Jordan, Kenya, Kuwait, Liberia, Malaysia, Maldives, Mali, Nepal, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Sierra Leone, South Africa, South Sudan, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Türkiye, Uganda, and Zambia.

It is noteworthy that this year 13 female officers have graduated.

The Defence Services Command and Staff College of Bangladesh is an internationally recognised tri-service training facility Institution.

This institution aims to train the mid-level officers from the three services who have been chosen to take on higher command and staff responsibilities in the future.

Till date, 5,079 officers from the Bangladesh Armed Forces, 17 officers from the Bangladesh Police, and 1,407 officers from 45 friendly foreign nations have been graduated from this college.

Among others, High Commissioners and Ambassadors of different countries assigned to Bangladesh, the Principal Staff Officer of the Armed Forces Division, senior military and civil service officers, Vice Chancellors and professors of various universities, distinguished citizens, Defence / Military / Naval / Air Advisers / Attaches of different countries in Bangladesh, attended the Ceremony.
