Dhaka has called for the inclusion of the Rohingya repatriation issue in the OIC’s Ten-Year Plan of Action (2026-2035), emphasizing the need for the organization’s continued advocacy for the sustainable return of the Rohingyas to their homeland in Myanmar.

The call was made when OIC Secretary General’s Special Envoy on Myanmar Ambassador Ibrahim Khairat paid a courtesy call on Foreign Secretary Md Jashim Uddin at the foreign ministry on Sunday.

During the meeting, the special envoy conveyed that the OIC is willing to work with the Bangladesh government to organize the High-Level Conference on the Situation of Rohingya Muslims and other minorities in Myanmar.
