Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) will have a meeting with the owners of the petrol pumps and leaders of the pump workers to discuss over their 15-point charter of demands.

The meeting will be held at the corporation's office at Kawran Bazar in the capital at 11:30 am today in presence of Syed Mehedi Hasan, director (Marketing) of BPC among other officials.

BPC Chairman Shamsur Rahman has confirmed the matter to media.

The meeting is likely to discuss increasing commission on oil sales and security of the drivers.

The unity council enforced indefinite strike in three divisions - Khulna, Rajshahi and Rangpur - from Sunday morning to press home their 15-point demand including increasing commission on oil sale.

Due to the strike, oil extraction and marketing at Padma, Meghna and Jamuna oil depots in Khulna also remained suspended. So supplying of fuel oil in 15 south-western districts including Khulna was halted.

Petrol pumps' did not provide fuel to any vehicle yesterday. As a result, number of the vehicles plying on the roads was lesser, leading to immense sufferings to the passengers.
