Ex-minister Rahmat Ali passes away

Awami League Advisory Committee member and former state minister for LGRD and cooperatives advocate Rahmat Ali passed away on Sunday. He was 76.

Awami League Advisory Committee member and former state minister for LGRD and cooperatives advocate Rahmat Ali passed away on Sunday. He was 76.

A five-time former Awami League MP from Gazipur-3 constituency, he breathed his last at a Dhaka city hospital around 7:30am, according to media reports. 

Rahmat is survived by his wife, two sons, and one daughter.

The ruling party leadership have issued messages mourning his death.
