Special Olympics SuccessMusa Mia Intellectual Development School's Panna and Sajib honored
Two athletes from Musa Mia Intellectual Development School, run by the Zahedee Foundation, were formally honoured for their outstanding performance at the Special Olympics Asia Pacific Badminton Championship 2025 held in Malaysia.
According to a press release issued by the Zahedee Foundation on Sunday, the reception was organised by Special Olympics Bangladesh at a ceremonial event in Gulshan, Dhaka, on Saturday.
The regional championship took place in Kuala Lumpur from September 17 to 20, where the Bangladesh badminton team delivered a remarkable performance against strong regional competition.
Panna Akter, a student of Musa Mia Intellectual Development School in Jhenaidah, demonstrated exceptional skill to win three gold medals at the tournament.
Another student from the same institution, Naimur Rahman Sajib, added to the country’s success by securing one gold medal and one silver medal.
Officials of Special Olympics Bangladesh, coaches, guardians, and other stakeholders attended the reception ceremony, celebrating the athletes’ achievements and their contribution to bringing pride to the nation.
