First Div Chess: Leonine Chess Club take solo lead in round 7

Leonine Chess Club took solo lead with maximum 14 points beating Basir Memorial Chess Club by 3-1 game points after the seventh round games of ongoing Marcel Air Conditioner 1st Division Chess League’2019 held at the Chess Federation hall room in NSC old Building here on Monday.

Subhayan Kundu and IM Prantik Roy of Leonine Chess Club beat Farhadur Imam and Sambarta Banerjee of Basir Memorial Chess Club in their matches while CM Nayem Haque and Sheikh Md Khairul Islam of Leonine Chess Club drew with Indian Suvankar Maity and Parvej Nahid Sagar of Basir Memorial Chess Club respectively. 

Dhaka Knight’s Chess Club are in the 2nd slot securing 11 points as they beat Mir Chess Club by 3-1 game points.

Soram Rahul Singh, Apollosana Mangang Rajkumar and Md Hasan Emam of Dhaka Knight’s Chess Club beat Md Almasur Rahman, Samiha Sharmin Simmi and Mostafa Razibul Hasan of Mir Chess Club respectively while S A M Nasir of Dhaka Knight’s Chess Club conceded defeated to Habibur Rahman Sohel of Mir Chess Club. 

In the day’s other matches, Legend Faraz Ayaiz Chess beat Agrani Bank Limited Daba Dal by 3-1 game points, Kasparov Chess Club beat Debdas Biswas Smirity Sangsad by 2.5-1.5 game points and Shahin Chess Club beat Khelaghar Daba Sanga of Gopalganj by 1-0 game point. 

The 8th and penultimate round matches will start on Tuesday at same venue.
