DSE performs best in world in August


The stock market of Bangladesh in August rose the highest of Asian stock markets and also performed the best in the world with a percentage of 15.80, according to a Bloomberg report.

The report says, the broad index (DSEX) of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), Bangladesh's main stock market, advanced 15.80 percent in August, which is the best performance in Asia as well as the world.

Vietnam's VN index has the second-highest rise in Asia after Bangladesh. The index increased 10.40 percent in August. Pakistan's KSE 100 index is in third place with an increase of 4.70 percent. Sri Lanka's CSE All Index, which is next, rose 4 percent.

Considering the price-to-earnings ratio (PE), the report mentioned that after the rise, Asian stock markets are becoming more attractive to investors.

In this case, Kazakhstan in Asia is in the most investable position with a PE ratio of 6.5. It is followed by Pakistan with 7.5, Sri Lanka with 8.9, Bangladesh with 11.8, Vietnam with 13.80, Thailand with 16.5, the Philippines with 17.30 and India with 23.90.

Meanwhile, the Bloomberg report added that Asian stock markets have gained despite higher net sales from foreigners. However, foreigners have sold the least net in the stock market of Bangladesh.
