BSEC fines eight Bangladesh Finance share manipulators Tk 705.69 million
The Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) has fined eight individuals and institutions a total of Tk 705.69 million (70.57 crore) for manipulating the shares of Bangladesh Finance Limited (BD Finance).
During a meeting held at its office on Tuesday, the regulatory body for the capital market made the decision to impose penalties for violations that occurred between 1 April 2021 and 30 September 2021, BSEC said in a statement.
The individuals who have been fined for manipulating shares include Sameer, Maher Sekander, Abu Sadat Md Sayem, Abdul Mobin Mollah, Afra Chowdhury and Anika Farheen.
The commission has also fined City General Insurance and Anwar Galvanizing Limited for violating trading regulations.
