OIC Coordination Committee on tourism convenes its meeting in Baku

The OIC Coordination Committee on Tourism, which is in charge of the follow-up of the various OIC activities in the domain of tourism, convened its 8th Meeting in Baku on Wednesday under the chairmanship of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Chair of the 11th Session of the Islamic Conference of Tourism Ministers (ICTM).

The Meeting reviewed and assessed the implementation of the resolutions of the Islamic Conferences of Tourism Ministers, particularly the resolutions of the 11th Session of the ICTM, and other OIC programs and projects in the domain of tourism.

The Meeting also reviewed the current criteria for selection of the OIC City of Tourism Award with a view to improving the selection process, reads a press statement of OIC issued in Jeddah.

At the end of its proceedings, the Meeting adopted an outcome document (Report and a Matrix of Activities for the Implementation of the ICTM’s Resolutions) that will be submitted to the relevant OIC fora.
