Biman Bangladesh Airlines will spread its wing to Toronto of Canada, Tokyo of Japan and Chennai of India from March next, State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism M Mahbub Ali said on Monday.

The state minister said efforts have been going on to resume the Biman’s direct Dhaka-New York-Dhaka route soon.

Pointing that civil aviation sector was the most shattered one due to
Covid-19 pandemic, Mahbub said, “We’ve taken various steps to increase Biman’s income generation besides taking initiatives for reducing its operational expenses.”
