President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina condoled death of folk singer Indra Mohan Rajbongshi.

He died of coronavirus infection while receiving treatment at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Wednesday morning.

In separate messages, President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina mourned the death and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.

The Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra musician was closely associated with film industry and worked as a playback singer and lyricist in many short and feature films produced in Dhaka and Kolkata.

He won the Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin award in 2007 and the World Master Certificate award the same year in South Korea.
