The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) on Monday predicted that weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country in the next 72 hours commencing at 9 am.
Night and day temperatures may rise by 1-2 degrees Celsius, the Met office said in a forecast.
A trough of westerly low lies over Bihar and adjoining area and a seasonal low lies over the south Bay, extending its trough to the north Bay.
The highest 8mm of rainfall was recorded in Tangail in the past 24 hours until 6am today.
The country's maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded at 31.3 degrees Celsius in Cox’s Bazar, while Monday’s minimum temperature 10.5 degrees Celsius was recorded at Tetulia in Panchagarh.
