A massive fire broke out at the Chittagong Shopping Complex in the city's Gate No. 2 area on Saturday morning, April 11, 2026. The fire started around 9:45 AM, and five units of the Fire Service were immediately dispatched to the scene to bring the blaze under control.

While the Fire Service control room confirmed their ongoing operations, they have yet to provide a definitive cause for the fire. However, locals suspect the fire originated from a warehouse on the second floor of the shopping mall. No casualties have been reported so far as the situation remains under monitoring.
