The light tremor, measuring 4.1 magnitude on the Richter scale, was felt in the capital and its adjoining areas this morning.

The epicentre of the quake was in Gazipur and it struck at 10.50 am, said
an official of Dhaka met office.

“The epicentre of the earthquake was in 37 kilometers North-East of BMD
Seismic Center of Agargaon in the city,” he said.

However, no damage or casualty was reported due to tremor till filling of
the report around 12.41 pm.
