RAJUK's corrupt officials don't care ACCACC and RAJUK officials playing snake-ludo

Corruption, irregularities and corrupt people are the three words that come together to form the Capital Development Authority (RAJUK). There is no branch of corruption that has not touched the officers and employees of RAJUK. Royal service means RAJUK. Be it office assistant, computer operator, chainman, designer, peon, store in-charge, inspector, authorized officer, director, member, or chairman.

Every brick and stone of RAJUK involved in bribery and corruption. Despite so much talk and writing in the media about RAJUK, nothing happens. The general public has one thing in common - ACC officials are also afraid of RAJUK officials. Although the matter is humorous, in reality there are many similarities.

'The Investor's search

Why can't the Anti-Corruption Commission bring corrupt officials of RAJUK under the law? Why aren't RAJUK employees and officials being prosecuted despite hundreds of complaints being filed? Why are they so arrogant?

There is only one solution. Most of the powerful officials of the ACC have plots/houses and assets within the RAJUK area. The accounts of the assets of the corrupt officials of the ACC are in the hands of RAJUK officials. The illegal assets that Raghav Boal of the ACC has made in the name of his wife and children anonymously are not unknown to RAJUK. Therefore, the arrogance of the employees and officials of RAJUK is 'nothing will happen to us through the ACC'.

Each employee of RAJUK has built up a mountain of wealth worth hundreds of crores of taka by being a leader, a sycophant or a flatterer. But despite all these allegations, it does not see the light of day in the ACC's investigation. Sometimes the Anti-Corruption Commission issues notices to RAJUK officials and employees, asking for a statement of their assets. But that is where the ACC's boasting is limited. Letters have been circulating for a long time. Sometimes the media trolls. But no final investigation is carried out. During the previous fallen fascist government, powerful employees of the RAJUK employees' union became owners of thousands of crores of taka, but none of them came under the ACC's target.

There are many Raghav Boals on this list, including the former chairman of RAJUK. But the Anti-Corruption Commission has not yet been able to hand over any of them to the court. However, after the change of power on August 5, it has investigated the corruption of many political leaders and issued charge sheets, how is this possible?

So, again, is it necessary to say that the ACC is still investigating political considerations? For a long time, the media has been making headlines about a group of 3rd and 4th class employees of RAJUK, a syndicate and corrupt individuals, but despite the news being published, they have remained in power.

The long investigation of "The Investor" has revealed information about the illegal acquisition of wealth by hundreds of corrupt officials and employees. Many of them are under investigation by the ACC. The list of those accused of corruption that came up in our special investigation is long. Although the ACC has filed cases against two or four people, they are still at large.

Former RAJUK Chairman Abdur Rahman and Chairman Anisur Rahman Mia are accused of corruption. Humayun Khadem, Engineer Azizul Haque, former member Lt. Col. M Nurul Haque, former director Md. Rahman Bhuiyan,
RAJUK Director (Development Control-2) Md. Mobarak Hossain and his wife Shahana Parveen, and Assistant Engineer Md. Abdul Karim are all in good health, although cases have been filed against them.

There are extensive allegations against former chief engineer of RAJUK, Ujjwal Mallick. He was the PD of the new city project. He took advantage of this opportunity to rent a plot. He also embezzled 10 crore taka through fraud.

Habibur Rahman, the document keeper of RAJUK's administration branch, is accused of irregularities involving approximately 200 files. Reckless office assistant Zafar Sadek and designer Emdad Ali are currently working in Narayanganj. Building Inspector Moniruzzaman, Office Assistant cum Computer Operator Nasir Uddin Chowdhury, Assistant Authorized Officer Aurangzeb Siddiqui Babu, Surveyor Masum Billah, Supervisor Khaled Mosharraf Talukder Rubel, Bench Assistant Bashar Sharif, Lower Assistant Yusuf Mia, MIS Branch Office Assistant Belal Hossain Chowdhury Ripon, Designer Shahidullah Babu, Junior Assistant Md. Hasan, Designer Sheikh Farid, Record Keeper Md. Firoz, Engineer Kaisar, Director Md. Mobarak Hossain, AKM Bayezit Khan, Belal Hossain Chowdhury, Higher Assistant Md. Hasan Khan, Draftsman Mohammad Shafiullah Babu, Aurangzeb Nannu, Golden Monir, Debashish Kumar Saha, Clerk Zahidul Islam, Kala Jahangir, Gulshan Staring Assistant Rebecca, Design Branch Office Assistant Abdul Qayyum, Office Assistant Hitler Jahangir Alam, clerk couple Anwar Hossain Alam and his wife computer operator Farhana, Zone 1 director Hafizur Rahman, high-ranking assistant Fatema Begum of RAJUK Zone 5, accountant Mofazzal Hossain alias Bidyut of Zone 4, low-ranking assistant Mohiuddin alias Master Mohiuddin of Zone 3, RAJUK pump driver Nazrul Islam alias Dhamrai, clerk Mosharraf Hossain alias Sky, computer operator of Purbachal project Gias Uddin alias Pathan, general secretary of Sramik League and RAJUK office assistant cum computer operator Nasir Uddin Chowdhury, Yusuf Mia, assistant Abdul Wadud and his wife Marina, and Zahidul Islam Sabuj.

Notable among them are Director Mobarak Hossain, Assistant Engineer Md. Abdul Karim, AKM Bayezid Khan, Senior Assistant Md. Hasan, Shafiullah Babu, Aurangzeb Nannu, Debashish Kumar Saha, Clerk Zahidul Islam, Kala Jahangir, Gulshan Estate Branch Dealing Assistant Rebecca, and many others.

It doesn't end here, most inspectors and authorized officers are the masterminds of corruption. Only the Anti-Corruption Commission can bring these corrupt officials and employees under the law.

Today, a series of reports by "The Investor" is highlighting the irregularities and corruption of a designer.

Designer Emdad Ali is a millionaire. He owns a six-story house worth several crores of taka in the RAJUK project in Merul Badda.

Emdad lives in the remote area of Matlab in Chandpur district. In 1998, he started coming to Raju on a daily basis. Within just three years, rumors spread that he was involved in a sea of bribery, and Emdad lost his job. He became desperate to get his job back. In 2009, Emdad filed a case to get his job back. Later, on the orders of the High Court, he got his contract job back in 2013. A few years later, in 2017, he returned to his previous form as soon as he consolidated his position and became permanent. He compromised with injustice and became the emperor of corruption.

He joined the company as a draftsman, but was promoted to a designer. He was working for a salary of just 24,000 taka. He became a millionaire with a small income.

Upon visiting the site, it was seen that the main gate of his 6-storey house had the inscription Chandpur House, House No. 53, Road No. 13, South Baridhara DIT Project, Merul Badda, Dhaka 1212 engraved in white stone.

Many in this area know that he is a great engineer. Not only this house, he also has two more seven-katha plots in front of former MP Habibur Rahman Mollah's house in Demra. Many are surprised to know whether it is really possible to live such a luxurious life with a monthly salary of only 24 thousand taka.

There are many people in Raju who tell journalists, "You just keep reporting news after news, you can't do anything to them." Even after committing so many crimes, dishonest people like Emdad remain in power. Even though they are targeted by the ACC, the only word they get is transfer.

Emdad is currently in the Narayanganj zonal office. This reporter tried to contact him but failed. He could not be found even after going to his office. Not only that, when he contacted him on the phone as a reporter, Emdad hung up after getting the reporter's identity. It remains to be seen how he is still in good health despite leading a reckless life.

The story behind their continued existence remains unknown to everyone. Thousands of Emdads are born by learning from corrupt people like them.
