Bangladesh Trade & Investment Summit begins

A weeklong Bangladesh Trade and Investment Summit 2021 begins in Dhaka on Tuesday, aiming to connect policymakers, business leaders and investors from around the world on a virtual platform.

The Commerce Ministry and the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) jointly arranged the summit from October 26 to November 01.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is supposed to inaugurate the summit virtually as the chief guest from Ganabhaban in the inaugural session of the summit at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre at 10:00 am.

In this regard, DCCI President Rizwan Rahman said that about 550 companies from 38 countries are expected to participate in the summit.

Besides, more than 450 business to business (B2B) match-making sessions will held to explore new business opportunities in Bangladesh.

Rizwan opined that the summit would display Bangladesh's preparedness during the Covid-19 pandemic to investors and entrepreneurs.
