At the very beginning of the anti-discrimination student movement that began in July, one after another, students were injured and lost their lives due to police and Chhatra League brutality.

At that time, Hafezzi Charitable Society of Bangladesh was going around from hospital to hospital at the risk of life to provide financial support for the treatment of injured students.

Director of the organization Muhammad Raj said, "We could not hold ourselves back after seeing the barbaric attacks during the logical movement of the students. Since our work is to provide services, we quickly collect funds and go to the field. I risked my life from Kanchpur and came to Dhaka and continued to work with my colleagues.

General Secretary Maulana Ibrahim Khalil said that since the beginning of the movement, we have seen thousands of students and public being shot and abused in various hospitals including Dhaka Medical, Enam Medical, Mugda Medical.

We have served the students as much as possible. I have provided financial support to students and the public who could not be treated, Alhamdulillah, he added.

Executive director Prof. Amirul Islam said, we have found patients whose body entered through the back and exited through the stomach and chest. Various parts of the body including hands and feet have become useless due to torture by terrorist forces. Out of fear, many left the hospital without completing the treatment. We have been standing beside them with medical care and regular inquiries at the risk of life.

It is known that the joint secretary of the organization, Faisal bin Hussain, was seriously injured by the police during the distribution of food among the protestors and is still in bed after several operations.

Publicity Affairs Secretary Maulana Mohsin Bin Muin said, after distributing food to the agitators and treating the injured, now we are regularly distributing food and water to the students who are in charge of traffic on the road. Besides, on the day of the fall of the government, we guarded the Jatiya Sangsad Bhavan with the army all night.
