Govt allocates TK 121 crore to assist poor families on Ramadan

The government has allocated TK 121, 64, 50,000 on Thursday for distributing among the poor and distressed families across the country on the occasion of Ramadan.

In the year of Mujib, this money can be spent for immediate food aid to the families affected in various natural calamities including the Covid situation, said a press release of the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief.

People of 4,568 unions in 64 districts, 328 municipalities, Dhaka South and North City Corporation, Gazipur, Chattogram, Mymensing, Narayanganj, Cumilla, Rajshahi, rangpur, Khulna, Barishal and Sylhet City Corporations, 64 districts sadar will get assistance, it said.
