Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader on Monday warned that looting of relief materials and hoarding of essentials will not be tolerated in this crisis period.

“A vested quarter is involved in hoarding essentials and looting relief materials. Looting in the name of relief distribution won’t be tolerated,” he said while briefing reporters at his residence.

Quader also urged all the professionals, politicians, workers leaders and leaders of voluntary and social organisations to join the Prime Minister’s initiative on the eve of Pahela Baishakh.

“Help Sheikh Hasina to help you.  During this crisis, there’s no party politics, now saving the lives of people is the only politics,” he said.

The minister also urged all to fight the invisible enemy, coronavirus, staying at home, and avoid public gatherings.
