Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) has asked the people affiliated with its university – including teachers and doctors – not to talk about any issue related to healthcare in the media, or on social media, without their permission.

The university issued the warning in a circular signed by the registrar of the university, Professor ABM Abdul Hannan, on May 2.

The circular said that teachers, doctors, officials, and employees of the university have been requested not to make statements to the media on any issue related to healthcare without the prior approval of its authorities.

BSMMU has also requested the individuals concerned not to tarnish the image of the government or the university by participating in a television talk show, providing a status, or sharing content on social media.
