BD reports highest one-day COVID-19 positive cases

Bangladesh reported the highest-ever single-day coronavirus (COVID-19) infections on Monday, according to the statistics of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

A total of 1034 more people tested positive afresh in the last 24 hours, raising the number of such cases in the country to 15,691.

Besides, eleven more people died from coronavirus in the country during the same period, Additional Director General of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Dr Nasima Sultana said.

With this, the death toll due to the deadly virus infection reached at 239, she added.

Prof Dr Nasima came up with the disclosure in the daily online news bulletin at the Management Information System (MIS) in the afternoon.
