In the wake of severe cyclone Amphan, Bangladesh Navy has kept its 25 ships, two maritime patrol aircrafts and two helicopters ready to conduct emergency rescue operation, relief and medical assistance in the coastal districts and deep sea, said a press release.
The Navy has also taken three tier preparations to tackle any kind of situation during post-Amphan periods.
Relief materials are also on standby to provide in the most affected areas to ensure humanitarian aid operations.
Now 313 speedboats, 15 water purification plants, 239 outboard motors, four Japanese rescue boards, six fibreglass boards, 115 shark boards and two landing craft utility or landing craft vehicle are ready.
Bangladesh Navy already deployed 25 ships for emergency rescue, relief, and medical operations.
Two maritime patrol aircraft and helicopters are also on standby for conducting search operations over the Bay of Bengal and other coastal districts.
The cyclonic storm will be tackled with the highest efforts like the Covid-19 response in Bangladesh.
