Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) has decided to keep the ride-sharing services suspended until further notice despite reopening of all kinds of public transports.
The BRTA took the decision as majority of vehicles under the ride-sharing services are motorbike where two persons sit closely.
The government order was sent to the ride-sharing companies, including Uber, Patho, Shohoz, through a letter on Saturday evening.
However, bus, train and launch services resumed on a limited scale Sunday after nearly two months of suspension to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 disease.
