The government has decided to introduce automatic budget fixation for salaries, allowances and pensions of civil servants and pensioners from next fiscal year.

At present, salaries and allowances of civil servants and pensioners are transferred from office of the Controller General of Accounts under Electronic Fund Transfer.

In this context the finance division issued a circular on Sunday asking the civil servants to send information on amount of salaries, allowances and pension along with national identification card number within August 31 to the division.

The circular has been signed by deputy secretary of finance division Mahmmad Tawhidul Islam.

Officials of the finance division said if grants for salaries and allowances are automated then it will also save time.

According to the circular, civil servants will send their data mentioning the name of the government organization, autonomous body, office code, name of the post, grade and number of posts.
