In a reshuffle, four deputy inspector generals (DIGs) of police have been transferred.

A circular signed by Dhananjoy Kumar Das, deputy secretary of Public Security Division of Home Ministry, was issued in this regard on Wednesday.

Commissioner of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) Md Humayun Kabir, also DIG, was transferred to Special Branch (SB) while DIG of Rajshahi Range AKM Hafiz Akhter was shifted to Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) as Additional Commissioner.

Additional Commissioner (DB) of the DMP Abdul Baten, also DIG, was shifted to Rajshahi Range as its chief and DIG of the SB Abul Kalam Siddique was transferred to the RMP as its commissioner.
