District Registrar of Magura Abul Bashar died from Covid-19 infection at a hospital in the capital on Saturday morning.

He breathed his last at Anwar Khan Modern Hospital around 5:00 am while undergoing treatment, said a law ministry press release.

Law Minister Anisul Huq has expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Abul Bashar.

He prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.

Law Secretary Md Golam Sarwar and Inspector General of Registration Shahidul Alam Jhinuk also expressed deep sorrow at the demise of Abul Bashar, according to the press release.
