Indian External Affairs Minister Dr Subrahmanyam Jaishankar will make his first official visit to Bangladesh immediately after resumption of international flights.
“Jaishankar has shown interest to pay his first visit to Bangladesh when the international flight suspension will be relaxed,” according to a highly placed Foreign Ministry source.
The source said the Indian External Affairs Minister shown his interest to visit Bangladesh during his telephonic conversation with Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen on Monday.
Diplomatic sources said the upcoming visit will be taking place at the time when the two countries have scripted a golden chapter in their bilateral relations and creating new opportunities.
It will be second visit by Jaishankar as he first visited Dhaka on August 19-21 last year.
“The entire range of bilateral ties between Bangladesh and India will be discussed when Jaishankar will visit Dhaka,” a diplomatic source said on Monday.
