Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to inaugurate the Itna-Mithamoin-Astagram all-weather road on Thursday.

She will inaugurate it through a video conference in the morning, said Executive Engineer of Kishoreganj Roads and Highways Department Mohammad Rashedul Alam.

The government has built a 47-kilometre high and 35-kilometre submersible road under the Road and Highways Department, involving Tk 1,268 crore.

The road has 22 bridges and 104 culverts and five ferries have been introduced.

Officials say, the road will be connected to Sylhet-Brahmanbaria road in future and a plan has been taken to build a flyover on it.
