One more bomb, weighing about 250 kg, has been found at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) in the capital.

This is the fifth wartime bomb discovered at the construction site of airport’s third terminal, says media report.

Talking to journalist, HSIA Director Touhid-Ul-Ahsan said the bomb disposal unit of the air force disposed of the bomb and took to a safe place after its recovery.

“It seems that there are more bombs planted at the construction site, but none of those could be detected despite scanning the area on several occasions as they are well planted below underground,” he pointed out.

The first bomb weighing 250 kg was discovered on December 9, the second, third, fourth on December 14, 19 and 28 respectively.
