State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid has commented that the blackout on October 4 is entirely caused by 'man’s fault'.
On Friday night, the state minister said this at a talk show of Deutsche Welle moderated by Khaled Muhiuddin.
He said, 'Actually, it is man's fault.”
The blackout occurred due to failure of BPDB’s load management. The demand for load and the production that was greater than the demand for production. All concerned including DESCO officials were asked to cut down, otherwise there will be interruption and frequency will be disturbed. And accordingly the same thing was happened. They didn't pay heed to guideline. As a result, blackout was taken place, the state minister said.
“We have identified some people who are responsible for the incident. We will take action by Sunday against them for not following instructions properly. It is man’s fault instead of a technical fault,' he added.
