The specialised Indian medical team has begun its mission in Bangladesh by engaging in detailed consultations with senior officials from the Bangladesh Ministry of Health and doctors at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery in Dhaka.
According to a Facebook post by India’s Ministry of External Affairs on Thursday, the team reviewed all critical cases related to the recent military plane crash and exchanged views on ongoing treatment protocols.
They are also providing assessments for the future course of medical care.
The initiative follows Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s assurance to extend all possible support to Bangladesh in the aftermath of the tragic military aircraft crash that occurred in Dhaka on 21 July 2025.
The visiting team includes doctors and nursing professionals, whose visit underscores India’s solidarity and commitment to humanitarian cooperation with Bangladesh in times of crisis.
