NCP Member of Parliament Abdul Hannan Masud, identifying as the youngest MP in Bangladesh's history and a representative of Gen-Z, stated in Parliament on Sunday (March 29) that the new generation no longer accepts the 1972 Constitution.
During the discussion on the President's speech, he questioned why his generation was deprived of voting rights despite being born decades after independence.
Masud highlighted the insecurity in the country, citing several attacks on his own motorcade in Hatiya and criticizing the delay in justice for a rape victim.
He urged the Home Minister to take stern action against terrorists and warned against a repeat of past electoral manipulations, specifically referencing the infamous 1994 Magura by-election.
