Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has decided to spray disinfectants with water cannons at the capital to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus.

The initiative will commence in the eight crime divisions of Dhaka from today.

DMP Commissioner MD Shafiqul Islam gave this directives in a statement.

It said, the germicide will be sprayed twice a day from 10 am-12 pm and 4 pm- 6 pm.

This process will continue until further notice.
