Three Tablig Jamaat attendees tested positive for coronavirus in Singair upazila of Manikganj on Tuesday.

Civil Surgeon Dr Anwarul Amin Akhond said the three people who attended a Tabligh Jamaat congregation in Faridpur and Singair upazila of the district were found infected with coronavirus.

They were taken to the isolation unit of Singair Upazila Health Complex.

Earlier, the authorities concerned collected samples of 11 Tablig Jamaat attendees and found three of them positive for the virus.

On Saturday last, a 60-year-old man who attended Tablig Jamaat event  tested positive for the virus in Singair upazila.

Later, two mosques in the upazila put under lockdown by the local administration.
