Islami Bank fined for not hoisting flag on Independence Day

The Jhalakathi branch of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited has been fined Tk5,000 for not hoisting the national flag on Independence Day.
All public and private institutions hoist the national flag as part of observing Independence Day.
Around 12 noon, District Magistrate Bashir Gazi visited the Islami Bank office in Jhalakathi and issued the fine.
He also issued stern warnings to the bank employees.
