Abdullah Al Mohsin Chowdhury, senior secretary of the Ministry of Defence, has died from Covid-19 infection today.

He breathed his last in the morning at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka.

Abdullah Al Mohsin Chowdhury joined the Ministry of Defence on January 12, 2020.

Prior to that, he served as a secretary in the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of the Abdullah Al Mohsin Chowdhury.

She prayed for the eternal salvation of the departed soul and expressed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
